Description: The fig tree is originated from tropical zones, but its cultivation is also very frequent in the Mediterranean regions. Manuel Vaz planted the fig tree to get some shade in the courtyard of his house. (*)

Present Location: Quinta da Vitoria (despite the fact that there was the intention of transplanting this tree, it was not possible due to its big dimension together with technical difficulties. The tree remains nowadays in Quinta da Vitoria, normally integrated in the landscape of the neighborhood)
