Description: The Java Plum is originally from India Nepal and Indonesia. According to Ajit Dangi, the seed of this Jambu(G.) came from India, and was planted in the neighborhood of Quinta da Vitória about 20 years ago. Its fruits were consumed and sold in the neighborhood. In addition its seeds were harvested for medicinal use, such as diabetes control. (*)
